It’s ‘the place where dreams come true.’

But two avid travelers have shed light on Disney’s less dreamy side in the form of one of its ‘worst rated hotels.’

YouTubing brothers Lucas and Jacob Cruikshank checked into the Florida park’s All-Star Sports Resort for a night’s stay.

After reading dozens of negative online reviews on Reddit and Tripadvisor, the duo labeled it the ‘worst rated and cheapest Disney World hotel.’

In a bid to find out if the complaints are legitimate, the siblings paid $150 to stay in a standard room.

In the introduction, Jacob explains that the sports-themed hotel was built in 1994 and it currently ranks as a three-star.

Over on Tripadvisor it currently has four out of five stars from 5,669 reviews, which they highlight is actually ‘pretty good.’

After exploring the grounds, which feature oversized sporting objects installed in various places, the duo check into their room – number 2128.

Jacob explains that the room is in a basketball-themed area of the hotel.

On walking into the space, the brothers seem disappointed to find no sports decoration inside.

To top things off, the only Disney touch they see is a framed picture of Mickey, Minnie and Donald above the bed.

Jacob remarks: ‘This hotel room is pretty basic. It’s really not that themed like sports.’

Meanwhile, Lucas describes the accommodation unit as ‘bare bones.’

After settling into the room, Lucas and Jacob discuss some of the bad reviews they have read about the resort.

Some of the complaints touch on there being ‘paper thin walls,’ while one reviewer complained about a cleaner entering their room at 8am on the day of check out while they were in the shower.

Lucas says that his biggest qualm with the place is that it has no amenities, ‘not even a gym.’

While other Disney resorts have multiple restaurants, he says that All-Star Sports only has one food hall.

On the subject of food, they venture to the End Zone restaurant for dinner, with Lucas opting for some garlic shrimp with steamed rice and seasonal vegetables, and Jacob plumping for chicken parmesan pasta.

While they say the flavors are passable, Jacob is not impressed with the ambience of the place.

He tells his brother: ‘It feels like I’m visiting one of my relatives that’s about to die in a hospital and this is the meal I get.’

From the dining hall, the duo visit the resort’s gardens and grounds and games arcade before turning in for the night.

However, as they get into bed, they notice dirt on one of the bed covers and they zoom the camera in on the debris.

The next morning, they offer a verdict on their stay.

Jacob tells viewers: ‘I slept good but that bed is pretty creaky. Like there were so many times where I was like “I think the bed just broke.”‘

He also says he understands the reviews about the walls being thin.

And while they didn’t have any major complaints, Lucas still deems it ‘the worst hotel I’ve ever been to.’

One viewer wrote: ‘That was the resort I stayed in when I went in 2023!! We stayed in the tennis area and honestly no complaints.

‘I even called the front desk about halfway through our trip for more cups for the room and they got it to the room before I could even get back there (so very fast response time).

‘Watching this really brought me back.’

Another less enthusiastic commenter revealed: ‘School groups (cheerleaders, football teams, etc) typically stay at All-Star Sports.

‘Those kids have a lot of energy that they expel in the common spaces outside the hotel rooms.’
